KwikShade provides optimal protection from Ultraviolet light.
Harmful Ultraviolet light includes Rays from the sun that reach the Earth's surface. These Rays are too high in frequency for the human eye to see and are measured in Nanometers.
High frequency Ultraviolet Rays fall between 0 and 400 Nanometres. These high frequency waves are piercing and powerful and are responsible for most skin cancers and other sun related ailments.
There are three types of UV Rays:
1. UVC--between 0 and 250 Nanometres--these harmful rays are fortunately almost entirely blocked out by the Earth's atmosphere.
2. UVB--between 250--360 Nanometres--these are the most harmful UV Rays.
3. UVA--between 260--400 Nanometres--are less harmful than UVB rays but still of some concern.
In order to combat damage done from UV Rays, KwikShade uses a low loading UVI additive. This special additive has been tested to effectively block out 99% of the UV-B rays (the most damaging rays) and 85% of the UV-A rays.
